Skrev dette på et engelsk Audi forum først men prøver her og, derav er dette på engelsk. Det er jeg som har skrevet dette og er det noe som ikke kommer fre mpå engelsk bare si ifra. :)

So I have this A4 that has been a great car until a month or so ago. It's a 1997 Audi A4 Quattro 2.6 V6 Sedan

Here's the issue:

Right now the car feels like it doesn't have the same drive it used to, the engine feels kind of dead compared to how it was.

There's a sound coming from my engine, almost like it's a diesel. A sort of "ticking" sound. This follows my rev and goes faster if my revs are higher. I got this when my ECU died and I had to change it.(A month or so before I started having these problems)

Suddenly, when I'm driving the throttle might stick a little and the revs use time to calm down when my clutch is engaged. After this, it has problems throtteling at all. It used to be so bad the car just stopped, but after I changed my camshaft position sensor it seems like the engine only cheats a little bit before returning to normal. Though, I'm not crossing fingers that it wonæt stop again or completly block.

Now here's the third thing is does, after I've had this problem, it won't start for a while, the starter will turn and it might ignite doing a few revs at 200rpm before dying. After waiting a few minutes with the ignition key out it usually starts right back up like normal, then the engine doesn't seem to have issues until the throttle screws up. The ticking sound is always there though.

Here's some past issues:

Dead ECU, now changed at a VW Garage

Dead Battery, changed at the same place

Clogged drain in the engine bay, now cleaned and working.

Leak from the bottom of my coolant tank, leaking onto parts in the area of the cam position sensor.

The clogged drain and coolant leak has been there for a few years before I bought the car.

Here's what's been tried, done and changed:

Changed Oil and oil filter.

Also use a type of liquid to clean the engine before putting in new oil.

New sparkplugs

New airfilter

New Cam position sensor and cleaned the area around it

Injection cleaner trough the fuel

Cleaned the throttle valve and checked the wire

Ran diagnostics at a VW shop with no errors.

Today I'm going to try to change the fuel filter as well.

Everything has been looked over and reccomended by a VW/Audi mechanic, as I have a friend who works at a dealer shop.

I'm suspecting something electrical due to the leaks and drain issued I've had.
