Henning Solberg har skrevet 2 års kontrakt

Henning Solberg has confirmed that he has signed a two-year deal that will see him compete in all the rounds in the FIA World Rally Championship in 2007 and 2008.

 

Henning, who took his very first podium finish in the WRC last weekend in Turkey, added that it is in a 'very good car'. Although no specifics were confirmed, with Citroen, Ford and Subaru having confirmed their line-ups, the logical destinations would either be with Kronos, assuming they can put together a package for next year or with the Stobart VK squad or maybe with Bozian, who he is with this season, under the OMV Peugeot Norway WRT-banner.

 

"I will drive a full season for sure," he said prior to the Rally of Turkey. "It's a two-year deal in a very good car."

 

Henning was known to have been in talks with M-Sport earlier this season, and the Focus is definitely a 'very good car'. Furthermore he is familiar with M-Sport, who-run the Stobart VK squad, having done seven events with them in 2005 - when he had a number of good results, including a fifth place finish in Sweden and a fourth place finish in Cyprus.

 

Malcolm Wilson kan da ikke gå glipp av en Solberg kandidat igjen kan han det? :D

Henning Solberg var visst på nrk nyhetene nå nettopp anngående hva han skal kjøre neste år. De har ikke fått vite hva han skal kjøre neste år.. Å at det blei litt klabb og babb pga den oransje fargen som han har nå på "Hvalen" (307`n) å neste års bil.

Rykter i rallymiljøet vil for øvrig ha det til at Henning Solberg blir lagkamerat med Wilson i Stobart-teamet neste sesong.
