Den nye Poloen er en helt ny bil, etter at forrige generasjon av Polo har blitt faceliftet noen ganger. Denne leveres med nye motorer, klima (Climatic) mot pristillegg på Firstline, Trendline og Comfortline. På Highline er helautomatisk klimaanlegg (Climatronic) standard. Førsteinntrykket mitt var at dette var en utrolig liten bil, men etter litt tilvenning og tilpassing av sittestillingen og rattet, var dette slettest ikke en så værst bil. Virkelig økonomisk i drift er den også. Det er første gangen jeg har hatt virkelige problemer med å få en bil til å bruke opp den bensinen jeg har fyllt. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) today announced that it will launch the Lancer Evolution VIII sports sedan in Japan on January 31. Features include a high-performance 2-liter intercooler-turbocharged engine, a 6-speed close-ratio gearbox and MMC’s advanced all-wheel traction control system. Available in three trim levels, the Evolution VIII GSR is priced at JPY3,298,000, the RS 5-speed manual transmission model JPY2,740,000 and RS 6-speed gearbox model JPY3,160,000. Subaru’s iconic Impreza WRX STi can now be fitted with a 305 PS performance pack giving a 155 mph top speed and 0-60 mph time of only 4.6 seconds. Developed by Banbury-based Prodrive, the power boost costs £1,995 including 2.5 hours for dealer fitment. Initial supplies begin during October 2002, following extensive durability tests. Inntil Alfa Romeo 147 GTA er å få i butikkene, er det Alfa 147 2.0 Selespeed som er toppmodellen. Den har en 2.0 liter på 150 hestekrefter, har skinninteriør og bose stereoanlegg som standard, og er utstyrt med Formel1/Ferrari-gir. På Alfa Romeo kalles dette Selespeed. Audi is unveiling the top sports model in the A4 range. The current generation S4 is making its debut at the 2002 Paris Motor Show. The further developed V8 engine with chain located at the rear and with a swept volume of 4.2 litres develops 253 kW/344 bhp and 410 Newton metres of torque. As a result it sets clear benchmarks in the B segment: a benchmark for supreme, even development of power resulting from the large displacement, and a benchmark too for a new dimension in dynamic handling.
