What kind of brakes do you need? Are 2.2 vetilated opel rekord brakes enough? Or do you need 3000 omega brakes? Or even bigger? And a 2l frontaxle has a maximum load capasity, is it not overloaded?

Thanx, (your english is fine) Your project seems indeed a lot more solit. What type of 5 speed-gearbox do you use? A normal 240 Getrag? I have a tuningshop in my street, so they can adapt the 5speedgearbox so it will fit the rover v8. Can you use a normal 2l sper-rearaxle from a kadett c gt/e? Is it strong enough, becouse some kadett c with a c20let engine with 300hp do have a 2l rearaxle to.:hvaskjera Do you have to ajust the engine-mauntings on the v8? Is it true that a rover aluminum v8 is lighter then a omega CIH 2.4? And i would like to move every thing, even the brakeaccistents cilinder underneath the dashbord, so that you will only see the engine. Maybe I will put 4 weber-carberators with manifalts on the v8:eek: !

Hello, I saw your v8 project. Nice work!! :D I was also thinking about doing this engine swap, only with a 3.5l from a rover SD 1, with handschifting 5speed transmission (thus rwd). Know I wondered if you had to change the standard transmission house from the kadett c coupe. Is a automatic transmission housing big enough for such a 5speed?
