  2. I also organized on January 9, 2011, a National RWD meeting for OPEL-CLUB.GR! We had a nice hillclimb all together on mount Olympus! You can see the pics and enjoy here: http://www.opel-club.gr/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=16954 Please also feel free to register and present YOUR rides in the thread that we have opened just for you, the Norwegians! ;) I have also installed Norwegian language for you guys! (you can change it in the lower left corner of the forum) The thread is here: http://www.opel-club.gr/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1454
  3. Hello Northern friends! How is everyone? Just thought to share my news with you! I recently bought a 2-door Ascona (to be later on rebuilt fully as a 400R). We have fully re-constructed a 2.4 CIH (c24ne). With the difference it is now stroked & bored to 2.7. Some characteristics: 97mm Venolia pistons (instead of the 95mm stock ones) Steel rods (BMW 2002) Diesel Crank everything brand new of course...! Total displacement: 2.676 cc 50mm Weber DCOE twin carbs 326° dBillas Camshaft Kent Springs 47/40 intake/outtake valves ME E30 clutch cover with 4-paddle perfomance clutch plate 6,5 Kg flywheel lightened and balanced We expect an approximate power of 230 PS with 280 Nm of torque. Not on the dyno yet as I have to do 1500 km first and take it easy up to 3500 rpm ;) The head has had some good polishing for better airflow. Exhaust is 61mm Here is my friend, Vagos Lenas, who built the engine for me in Kavala city (northern Greece) : More photos: Finally got the car - the red one is the "new" one - here's a pic from my garage ;) aaaand here they are on the street: More news when I have some :)
  4. Hey Keiek! Thanks for the compliments :) Trust me, an old RWD Opel is always relatively cheap to build, they have great reliable engines that can produce a lot of torque from very low RPM (8v) and you can play around easily and nicely and get a lot of cc with a lot of torque... People here are used to take the 2.4 CIH engines and stroke em to 2.5 or even 2.7 with 48 to 55 Webers, producing many times 210 hk or more! An Ascona B that I saw in Thessaloniki (northern Greece) a few weeks ago, dragged along with a very well tuned Astra OPC and guess who won? ;) The Ascona had a 2.5 atmospheric CIH engine... ;) Not to mention that RWD is a lot more fun to drive ;) You can certainly see a LOT of nice cars in bilforumet built by some of your fellow-countrymen :) And they are damn nice! ;) The paintjob on my Ascona is a replica of the classic famous Ascona 400 rallycar. Mine is just a humble 4-door tho :) :cab
  5. that's a beautiful ascona you've got there hundråførr :)
  6. Hello for once more northern friends! Hur mar du?! :) I organized the 3rd National vintage RWD Opel meeting in Greece! Just a few pics from that as a teaser: If you want to see more pictures, check out the topic I have started here in the Greek Opel-Club.gr: http://www.opel-club.gr/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=11333 Unfortunately it is in Greek, but YOU ARE WELCOME to write and comment in English if you like :) I have also constructed an international section for you guys in there if you see the forums lists, it's all the way down to the bottom (easy to find). There is also the topic entitled "CARS OF THE NORWEGIAN OPEL MOTORSPORT CLUB - BILFORUMET.NO" right here: http://www.opel-club.gr/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1454 So, if you haven't presented your car yet, you are MOST WELCOME to do so! :) Aaaand... a few more pics: Here is my car next to my friend Giorgo's yellow V6 Kadett C: http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/9417/imag0171k.jpg It's wearing a X25XE off an Omega B :) The car has traction control, antispin, ABS, airbags fully working! :) You can see the topic (in Greek) here with more pics in EVERY page as usual: http://www.opel-club.gr/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2344 again, you are MOST WELCOME to comment even in English :) a couple more pics of this car: http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/7759/dsc00097vh.jpg http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/4306/dsc00094a.jpg You can also use translate.google.com if you like to translate anything :) Last, but not least, a photo of my Ascona, that I think I have not put in here :) If anyone wants to add me on facebook, my address is http://www.facebook.com/asconan HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! :)
  7. lol! Well, as I said though, there is the international section in there ;) Thanks for your presentation... Now it's just a matter of finding more ppl in there, slowly :) Some Germans were interested and also the Irish fellas, so, I'm still waiting :)
  8. It mainly is a GREEK opel club but our effort is to temporarily host an international exchange forum in there... Why not, I could use the idea to establish something that is 100% international in the future, I would like that... But time will tell :) In the meantime, I hope to see you all there presenting your cars :)
  9. Dear northern friends, HUR MAR DU? This is Dimitris, many of the people from the ASCONA/MANTA B sections know me from the past ;) We have opened an international section that is to be operating ony in ENGISH language at OPEL-CLUB.GR, the first Hellenic Opel Club online! We would love to see you presenting your cars to our members and perhaps we can also do the same in your forums :) If you want to join us, the exact link is http://www.opel-club.gr/vbulletin/?langid=1 (for having the menus in English). You can register there and the international section is located at http://www.opel-club.gr/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=161 We will aso invite people from German and English Opel forums! Looking forward to seeing you there! The INTERNATIONAL section is brand-new, so, do not hesitate to be the first person to present yourself in there... If you are fast enough ;) Best regards from Grekland! Dimitris PS: You can always find the little button on the lower left of the page if your language isn't already set to english. If you have any difficulties, you can send me a PM in there and I can help you out :)

  12. Hello again from Greece Northern friends! :) Just a quick question to everyone else: I have a Getrag 265 and I have a little problem with it. I need your help on this. I purchased the gearbox but it came with no gearstick! You can find a picture of it right here, so that you can understand: Does any gearstick fit on it? or do I need some kind of a mount along with it? Where can I find the appropriate parts? Anyone of you who knows? Thanks a lot, all the best, keep it up! :D Dimitris
  13. turboascona, it's nice talkin with you on the MSN my friend :) I don't have to answer your post I guess ;)
